New Village

This is the world map and the view of a new Travian village.
This is the world map and the view of a new Travian village.

Travian (The critical 72 hours)

I know the rules of Travian say each user is only allowed to play one account. However this simply means if you start a second account it is no longer legal to log into the other account.

First step to starting Travian (Have at least 3 email accounts and register 1 village to each account. (On the second or third day of a new server) Log into village 1 and go to the world map asap, repeat the following process with the other two villages.

(1) How many wheat oasis's are there around your new village?

(2) Click on all the empty squares around your new village attempting to find a 3/3/3/9 or 1/1/1/15 plot also known in Travian as a Cropper.

(3) Are the players around your new village much larger or around the same size as you?

(4) How many Roman, Gaul, Teuton neighbors are in your 7x7?

If there is a decent amount of wheat oasis's, a cropper in your 7x7, the players are just starting out like you and there are not allot of Teutons then this is probably as good as any place to start.

Getting Started now that we have decided between the three villages we registered

Set the other two villages to delete and never log into them again (Ever)

Step 1: Click on the Quest Master and deactivate Quest

Step 2: Build lvl 1 Rally point / Level 3 Main Building / lvl 1 Barracks

Step 3: Build maces/Legos/Phalax (Must have 5 Phalax/Legos to raid without losing one) and raid the first village under 9 pop you can find that is not in Beginner protection.....continue to raid this village and search for other villages under 9 pop that can be raided. Continue to build units till you have 10-20 maces/Legos/Phalax

step 4: lvl 1 Granary / lvl 1 Warehouse / lvl 1 Market / lvl 1 Cranny, 2 level 1 wheat fields (This will allow you to use the npc merchant to shift resources around.

At this point if you are ok with using gold, when your warehouse and granary get close to overflowing figure out the max amount of troops you can npc your resources to create. If you are not using gold or want to use it sparingly level up your warehouse several levels.

Step 5: Push to build 100 maces if you are a Teuton and if you are Gaul or Roman push to build 20 legos or Phalax. Don't worry about negative wheat, at this point the further in negative wheat you are the better you are doing. Teutons should be able to raid any village under 50 pop that is Roman or Gaul safely, Roman and Gaul players should raid smaller villages if possible 20 pop or under (You can't afford to lose troops at this point) Dodge all incoming attacks when they start coming in and send your troops on long raids lasting the duration you will be absent. (Another words If you are going to be away for 8 hours find a village that is 4 hours one way to raid to keep your troops out of harm's way)

Step 6: Build your cranny up to lvl 10

Step 7: Main Building Level 10, Academy Lvl 10, Town hall Lvl 10, Wheat fields as needed

Step 8: Build Warehouse and Granary to the needed level to hold enough resources to throw a small party in your town hall.

Step 9: Throw a small party and begin building your residence up to level 10, Also try to level all your fields evenly and get them all to level 3 (Throw as many small parties as you can over the course of the next few days.) Cultural Points are the most important thing in Travian and are what set the elite on their path to greatness.

Step 10: Settle a second village, Push from your first village to get the second one up quickly: In this village you want to Get the (Main Building, Academy to lvl 10 and get a town hall and residence up asap) Try to build troop levels in the first village increasing the level by 10-20 troops a day) During this time you will also want to push to research mounted units by building the stable up and will want to get scouts as soon as you can) The make up of your army will depend on raiding opportunity....If your targets are further away or a larger mix of Teuton focus on mounted units.....otherwise stick to the basic unit. (For Gauls and Romans mounted units are a must once you have them researched) Teutons just keep building mad amounts of maces.

Once you have a decent farm list stored on TravianTractor.com , have found and are still hunting down new farms daily attempting to add 5 new farms each day using traviandope.com and your second village (Hopefully a cropper is up and running)

Throw parties in Villages 1-2 as often as possible

Build the fields up in both (If using gold push to the cropper and focus on the wheat fields....if not using gold or using sparingly level up fields in both.)

Now is a perfect time to find an alliance that fits your playing style, that is/appears to be strong and is near you. So you can continue to focus on raiding and expansion) while hopefully being able to count on the alliance for defense!!!!

Every village there after you want to get a town hall up and running in it and start throwing parties as quick as you can.

Once all fields are level 10 in your first village tear down the residence in the cropper, build a palace and make the cropper your capital. In the cropper you do not want to was space building Stable/Barracks/Armory, Black Smith or any military buildings, you will need  Warehouses and Granaries more than any other buildings and the cropper will be used to store your offensive units/ Hammer when they are not in use. Build Great Barracks / Great Stable / Work Shop and a second Granary in your first village and begin building a Raiding hammer with 200-300 Cata's/Trebs and 200-300 Rams.

If needed select from village 4-5-6 and use that village to research and build defense.

Defense and Offense should never be built in the same village because it consumes too much Barracks and Stable time and makes leveling troops in the armory and black smith allot slower and harder.

By the time you have 6 villages your set up should be something like this

Village 1: Mini Hammer and main raiding village

Village 2: Cropper/Troop Storage/Capital

Village 3: Feeder (Focus mainly on resource production/ Throwing parties/ Market to push resources to village 1-2)

Village 4: Defense or Scouts/ Feeder village/ Parties

Village 5 Defense or Scouts which ever you are not building in village 4 (Feeder/Parties)

Village 6-10 Set up hammer building villages and storage villages to hold hammers (Unless you are going to be a defensive player then you want to set these up for defense and storage)

By village 10 all your villages should be set up for a specific purpose

Resources/ Defense/Offense/ Storage

All villages there after should be geared toward feeding the first 10, resource production and throwing parties........

Do I need to build town halls in ALL my villages?

At first i would say yes, later if you feel you need the building slot for something else you can always demolish.
